Question by jmuriad: Good online sources to track residential real estate value trend?
I posted a question earlier whether I should wait for another year to buy my 1st house. Got many responses back to wait and to track home values trend on the right time to buy.

What are some good online resourse/website to get informed on where the residential real estate value is heading?

In some communities you can access the assessor’s office and see a list of all sales over the last few years. In my community this is available on line, and it includes details such as the floor area, number of baths price, address, etc. In my state all this is public information, although only a few communities have it on line.

Question by Tiffany: What does real estate value have to do with school segregation?
What does real estate value have to do with school segregation? With this link in mind, how have inequalities in wealth contributed to long-term inequality between blacks and whites in the United States?

Because areas with higher real estate values have better schools. The taxes pay for it and so Blacks who live in lower income areas would get a lower grade of education when the district is under funded by lower tax collection for education. Therefore the Blacks should be able to go to the better schools and not be deprived of a better education due to lower income status.
